Airbus Looking for 800 New Hires in Canada

As Airbus Ramps Up Canadian Production, Opportunities Abound

Airbus has announced the availability of 800 jobs in Canada throughout 2023 as the brand ramps up production of the A220.

The company plans to recruit 500 of them for new positions, in nearly all areas of production, engineering, IT, and customer service. Overall, two thirds of the additions will be hired into support functions, with the remainder working in production capacities. Specialties will include everything from helicopters and defense to space and commercial aircraft.

“Airbus continues to have great ambitions for Canada,” said Benoît Schultz, President and CEO of Airbus Canada. “After recruiting more than 800 new employees and creating more than 400 positions for the A220 in Mirabel in 2022, we are pleased to announce that we will hire more than 800 additional employees across the country in 2023, including approximately 700 in Quebec.”
“In 2023, we aim to allocate one-third of our positions to young graduates and early career professionals and maintain our goal to have 33 percent of new hires and promotions allocated to women, supporting our commitment to being an inclusive employer and contributing to diversity within our industry,” he added.
