Two Receive Master Instructor Designation In December

A Third Is Recognized As A Master Instructor Emeritus

Two instructors have renewed their first Master Instructor designation in the month of December, while a third earned the designation of Master Instructor Emeritus.

Master Instructors LLC said in a news release that all were accredited as Masters by Master Instructors LLC, the international Master Instructor accrediting authority. All obtained their designation through the Master Instructor "Fluid Review" program online.

Professional aviation educators who earned or renewed their "Master" title during December 2019 are:

Bob is an independent flight and ground instructor at Gaithersburg's Montgomery County Airpark (GAI). He was one of the first aviation educators to earn the Master designation when the accreditation program was first introduced by then-FAA Administrator Barry Valentine at Oshkosh AirVenture 1997. A recently retired designated pilot examiner (DPE) , Bob also continues to work with the Maryland Wing of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) and serves as a FAASTeam representative with the FAA's Baltimore FSDO area.

Additionally, he is a pilot examiner (DPE) and FAASTeam representative in the FAA's Denver FSDO area as well as the Black Forest Soaring Society's chief glider flight Instructor from 1999-2019 at Kelly Air Park (CO15).
