Certified! FlyRight's King Air B200 FFS

To Be Used In New NC Training Center

Aero-News has learned FlyRight Inc. recently received FAA Level C certification of its new King Air B200 full flight simulator. The simulator, built by Opinicus Corp. in Lutz, FL, is also configurable as a Level C Raytheon 1900 Airliner simulator.

"We are very happy with the simulator. The FAA inspectors praised its performance and we look forward to opening our 142 Training Center with this equipment," said FlyRight Chief Instructor, Tom Leahy.

FlyRight worked with the FAA for over two years on development of its initial and recurrent training programs for the King Air B200 and Raytheon 1900 aircraft, and expects to receive operating certification in April. Originally a Level B Raytheon 1900D simulator built by Training Devices Inc, FlyRight contracted with Opinicus for a significant upgrade of the simulator, while also adding the B200 configuration.

Equipped with a new RSI Raster xT 4 LCOS projector collimated visual system, new RealFeel digital control loading, new motion controller, and upgraded host and instructor operating systems, the Level C simulator is the most recently certified Kingair simulator in the United States.

The avionics suite for the simulator includes Collins EFIS, Honeywell TCAS, Sandel TAWS, and either Honeywell KLN 90B or Garmin GPS 400 GPS.
