Aero-Linx!
Scouring the information super airways can sometimes be a tough,
if educational, task for the Aero-News staff... but it also allows
us to check out some truly neat and exciting sites, so it's not
that bad a gig. On any given day, we may check dozens (and often
hundreds) of different sources for story ideas, and facts
confirmation. And, as is the nature of our business, much of this
is done on the Internet.
The ANN gang decided we probably shouldn't keep some of the neat
sites, info resources, and organizations we've discovered to
ourselves... so we decided to bring you Aero-Linx. These are the
sites that WE check out -- when we need added perspective, a new
spin on a day's topic... or just want to escape into
cyber-aero-space for awhile.
Look for some of our favorite sites, coming each day to ANN via
Aero-Linx.
Suggestions for future Aero-Linx
segments are always welcome, as well.

USPPA
The USPPA, the US Powered Paraglding Association, was
formed on March 15, 2001 as a 501(c)3 charitable corporation. Tax
exempt status was gained several years later. The siite states
that, "Our hope is to 'Promote, Enhance and Preserve the sport of
Powered Paragliding' through the collective efforts of those who
chose to participate. By combining our efforts there are some
things that we can do more effectively as a collective whole than
as individual parts or small groups.
Our desire is for the vision to be molded...to and by those who
call this sport theirs. It is an effort to increase our collective
say in a non-ppg world and enhance the fun with things of our sport
that are better done in numbers. There is a vast pool of knowledge
and experience amongst us that hopefully will be better tapped by
such an effort. For example, there are likely some legal experts
that could aid in efforts to secure sites...or least the best ways
to go about it. There are others who know about competitions,
others who are trainers and can help in that area."
