Dealer Sells 500th NAA Aircraft Decades After Brand's Merger

T-28 Sales See Free 1-Year Trainer Association Membership and Ground School

Courtesy Aircraft Sales hit an unusual record with the sale of its 500th North American Aviation deal since 1992.

That milestone is a strange one to have so many years after the dissolution of the marque, once known for a plethora of aviation gems from the Second World War on through the Cold War. North American Aviation created legends like the P-51 Mustang, the B-25 Mitchell, the X-15, the B-1 Lancer, and even a roster of spacefaring gear like the Space Shuttle Orbiter. The firm, like so many other aeronautical heroes of old, disappeared in a series of mergers and acquisitions to eventually join the greater Boeing fold.

Of course, Courtesy Aircraft Sales has made the majority of its sales from the NAA's trainer and warbird catalog, like their still-beloved T-28 and T-6 Texan. Funnier is that Courtesy is only calling NAA sale number 500 as a guaranteed nadir. "However," they appended to their record announcement, "Courtesy Aircraft admits that hundreds more have been sold prior. Employees are still gathering that information in old files for the final count!"

To commemorate the deal, Courtesy Aircraft will be offering a "1 year North American Trainer Association membership and a 3 day professional T-28 ground-school for all North American T-28 aircraft sold during the months of November and December 2023."

“500 North American Aircraft sold is a great milestone for Courtesy Aircraft Sales”, said Mark Clark, President of Courtesy Aircraft Sales. “We are very pleased that our customers have recognized the value of our brokerage services. 500 North American Aircraft sold in 31 years is the result of our commitment to provide our customers with the best service in today’s warbird market. Courtesy Aircraft’s goal is to keep all aircraft transactions as smooth as possible. We are thankful for our customers and their commitment to preserve and fly our great military aviation history. We look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence in the sales of both warbirds and civilian aircraft for years to come.”
