Three Receive Master Instructor Designation In October

National Accreditation Recognized By The FAA

Three instructors have renewed their Master Instructor designation in the month of October.

Master Instructors LLC said in a news release that all were accredited as Masters by Master Instructors LLC, the international Master Instructor accrediting authority. All obtained their designation through the Master Instructor "Fluid Review" program online.

Professional aviation educators who earned or renewed their "Master" title during September 2016 are:

Erick de Barros Camara, Master Ground Instructor (MGI), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Erick de Barros Camara Douglas Scott "Doug" Carmody

Erick Camara, a 2-time Master and SAFE member, recently renewed his Master Ground Instructor (MGI) accreditation. The holder of both advanced and instrument ground instructor certification (AIGI) as well as an ATP certificate, Erick specializes in teaching airborne geophysics to ground students and has earned master wings in the FAA's WINGS program. He is one of only 33 aviation educators worldwide who have earned the MGI accreditation. e-mail: ErickCamara@msn.com

Douglas Scott "Doug" Carmody, Master CFI, Beaufort, SC

Douglas Carmody, a 5-time Master and SAFE member, recently renewed his Master CFI accreditation. Doug owns and operates Executive Flight Training based at Beaufort County Airport (ARW) where he specializes in Citation, King Air, TBM, and Pilatus initial and recurrent training.  Additionally, he is a Citation and CJ pilot proficiency examiner and serves as a FAASTeam representative in the FAA's Columbia (South Carolina) FSDO area. Kenneth Francis "Ken" Wittekiend Jr

Kenneth Francis "Ken" Wittekiend Jr, Master CFI, Burnet, TX

Kenneth F Wittekiend, a 6-time Master and SAFE board of directors member, recently renewed his Master CFI accreditation. Ken instructs with the Bonanza Pilot Proficiency Program in addition to operating ProMark Aviation Services at Burnet Municipal Airport (BMQ). He also serves as a pilot examiner (DPE) as well as a FAASTeam representative in the FAA's San Antonio FSDO area. E-mail: Ken@ProMarkAviation.net  

Many of the most recent National Flight Instructors of the Year or National FAASTeam Representatives of the Year were Master CFIs. In addition, the FAA has approved the accreditation as an alternate means for CFIs to renew their flight instructor certificates.
