Internationally Recognized Photographer’s Book Set To Release August 20
Joe Glyda will be releasing a book titled “World War II Aviation Artwork and the Stories Behind These Beautiful Birds,” on Friday, August 20th, 2021. Glyda is an internationally recognized, award-winning photographer. His love of aviation has brought him countless places. He has traveled to many airshows and volunteered with the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team at a small airport in Tulsa, OK, where he now lives. Glyda has photographed a great deal of aircraft which has led him to compile his latest book.
No one will doubt Glyda’s skills and digital artwork capabilities that lead him to create the book, which is very unique to his style and artistry. To accompany these photographs are the stories that bring them to life, which he researched through historical documentation and meetings to come up with the personal stories of some of the people that kept these amazing planes in the air.
Joe was drawn to the WWII era due to building this style of aircraft model as a young boy.
He says, “Even though these WWII planes were instrumental in the war, I was inspired to showcase the incredible ingenuity of early aviation. It was and still is amazing to see how many different types of aircraft were built in such a short period of time.” Joe traveled all over the country capturing these beautiful “birds.”
Glyda has been known in the industry for more than 35 years with an impressive career as one of the nation’s leading product/packaging photographers for Kraft Foods in Chicago.
