IndUS To Offer Sneak Preview Of Newest LSA At Sebring

LoPresti Provides Aerodynamic Mods For New Thorpedo LP

At the upcoming Sebring US Sport Aviation Expo, IndUS Aviation, Inc. will offer a sneak preview of some of the new components that will make up the all-new Thorpedo LP, a new model light sport aircraft to be released at Lakeland 2007.

"In our desire to remain proactive in the light sport market, we are introducing the all new Thorpedo LP for 2007. We expect impressive performance gains for the LP including an increased cruise at 75% power of 20 knots and improved fuel efficiencies," said Scott Severen, Director of Marketing and Sales for IndUS Aviation, Inc.

The "LP" in the airplane's name refers to LoPresti... as in LoPresti Speed Merchants, which was tapped by IndUS to provide an aerodynamically advanced engine cowl, as well as landing gear leg and wheel fairings (which IndUS refers to as "cowboy boots.") New wingtips integrate enclosed navigation lights, landing lights, and strobes.

In addition to making the Thorpedo (photos are of the older, non-LP model) more appealing to the wind, the combination of these refinements give the LP a sleeker look, as well. IndUS states the benefits of the new model include a much higher cruise speed, improved fuel efficiencies, better visibility for collision avoidance and safer illumination for landings.

"The LoPresti team feels privileged to participate in this IndUS Thorpedo project," said RJ Siegel, VP Operations for LoPresti Speed Merchants. "Our goals are lofty. We strive for more of everything: speed, economy, safety and fun."

IndUS says the Thorpedo LP sports full traveling utility, and is a rugged alternative for flight schools.
