UK Fundraiser Promoted Using Contest

'Salute to Bomber Command Banquet' Coming Nov. 8

Britain's Natural History Museum will host "The Salute to Bomber Command Banquet" on November 8, and in a unique promotion, members of the public are being invited to nominate their local RAF heroes to be among ten honored with free tickets. The event celebrates the building of the Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park, and will serve as a fundraiser in support of its preservation.

The Memorial is a tribute to the 55,573 airmen of Bomber Command who lost their lives in World War II fighting for the freedom they never lived to see.

Nominations are open to all retired or serving men and women from the RAF and should include a brief 50-100 word explanation about your hero and what makes them an inspiration to you, name, rank, period served, unit or squadron, and their contact details. Nominations must be received by October 28 and should be emailed to salute@theeventbusiness.co.uk, or posted to Salute to Bomber Command, C/O The Event Business, 5, West Bar, Banbury, Oxon, OX16 9SD. Nominations can also be made over the phone, 01295 220580.

Winners will be notified by November 1.

Of course, you're also welcome to make donations to the Bomber Command Memorial fund, using the FMI link below.
