Building Homebuilders' Headquarters

One More Sign That AirVenture Is Upon Us

Work nears completion at the new EAA Homebuilders Headquarters at EAA AirVenture. Located on Wittman Road, the new HQ is considerably larger than the previous building, including a spacious registration area and store stocked with the latest homebuilding reference books and videos. An outside shelter/porch faces the flight line and can be used rain or shine.

Homebuilders also have a new camping area this year, located north of the Fly Market and west of Knapp Street, just a short walk from the forum and workshop areas. For those familiar with the Homebuilt flight line the camping area is immediately West of where the Van's RV aircraft are parked.

The campsites have room for about 100 under-the-wing campers and their aircraft. As with other EAA camping areas, there is no pre-registration; spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Simply follow the instructions printed in the AirVenture NOTAM by having a sign with block letters HBC visible on the left side of your windshield indicating that you want to go to Homebuilt Camping.
