NARA Awards Scholarships To Business Aviation Students

Twelve Students Receive $3,000 Scholarships From The Association

The National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA) Business Aviation Scholarship program has awarded $36,000 in individual $3,000 scholarships to 12 college students seeking professions within business aviation.

Each year, NARA members dedicate substantial funds to aid deserving students complete their academic goals in preparation for careers in business aviation. This year, eight of the scholarship students attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, while the four other awardees attend Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Tech, the University of North Texas, Louisiana Tech University and Auburn University.
 
The newly announced recipients of NARA business aviation scholarship are:

  • Matthew Aniello (Senior - Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Tech)
  • Tanya Baham (Junior - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University)
  • Patrick Ekhlas (Senior - Auburn University)
  • Robin Frey (Master's - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University)
  • John Girouard (Master's - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University)
  • Justin Guth (Master's - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University)
  • Faisal Khalifa (Master's - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University)
  • Ivan Kut (Senior - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University)
  • Dennis Mugenyi (Senior - University of North Texas)
  • Hemant Saria (Senior - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University)
  • Sheppard Stutts (Senior - Louisiana Tech University)
  • Benjamin Uribe (Junior - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University)

"These twelve deserving students and their NARA Business Aviation Scholarships are testament to the conviction of our members in the future vibrancy of our industry," said NARA Scholarship Committee Chairman Anthony "Tony" Kioussis, President of NARA member Asset Insight, LLC. "They represent the best and brightest young people who will be joining the ranks of business aviation professionals in the near future. Best wishes to them and thank you to the NARA members who stepped up once again to support this worthwhile and rewarding program."
 
The NARA Business Aviation Scholarship program was established for university students seeking a career in Business Aviation and, specifically, within corporate aircraft sales, marketing, finance, legal, and insurance. The scholarship winners are chosen by the NARA Board of Directors from applicants that are full-time graduate and undergraduate students majoring in corporate aviation management, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, aviation safety, finance, business marketing, economics and studies that relate to aviation business and management.
 
All NARA members follow a strict NARA Code of Ethics, and the Broker/Dealer members must pass a rigorous certification process to assure the highest standards when buying and selling previously owned aircraft. Ultimately, they are recognized as NARA Certified Aircraft Brokers and Dealers. NARA Products and Services Members represent a variety of aviation services that operate with the highest professional standards in the industry.
