Purpose-Built "Towbar Trolley" Will Help Move Planes
AERO Specialties has provided Signature Flight Support a wide
variety of ground support equipment for the upcoming Presidential
Inauguration and the Super Bowl.
AERO designed and built a special "Towbar Trolley" for the
occasion, which allows a complete set of towbars and heads to be
easily and quickly moved from one location to another.
"This is truly the Swiss Army Knife of towing equipment," said
Matt Sheehan, president of AERO Specialties.
The Towbar Trolley -- constructed on AERO's RJ2-Series
galvanized trailer -- holds two multi-head and two universal
towbars, and a set of aircraft attachment heads that can move every
business jet that Signature Flight might see at its Dulles, VA and
Tampa, FL FBOs.
"Never before has the world seen such a comprehensive, compact,
durable, portable and user-friendly collection of towbars and
heads. I expect at least a Nobel nomination or an invitation to the
White House for this one," Sheehan quipped.
Alas, Sheehan may have to settle for knowing the added business
represents a roughly $150,000 infusion to AERO's bottom line. In
addition to the Towbar Trolley, AERO equipment going to Dulles and
Tampa includes the company's LC60-RJ Lavatory Service Cart; its
WC60-RJ Potable Water Cart; Eagle TT-8D all wheel drive aircraft
tractor; and the TLD 4060-T-CUP-28 400Hz/60kva + 28VDC
diesel-powered GPU.
AERO Specialties is the exclusive general aviation distributor
in the US for TLD ground power and Eagle Tugs.
