Prarie Air Show Announces First Acts for 2010

RED STAR and THE DRAGON To Wow Crowds

Prairie Air Show Director Brett Krause announced at the July 21st After Action Report Meeting, and confirmed recently at the ICAS (International Council of Air Shows) convention, that the first act signed for the 2010 Prairie Air Show would be the premier jet air combat act, RED STAR AND THE DRAGON. The news was met with a hardy round of applause from the Prairie Air Show committee members.

"The Dragon and I have a long relationship with Brett and the staff of the Prairie Air Show, they are all fantastic folks to work with," said Andy Anderson, team member of RED STAR AND THE DRAGON, "Jerry and I are proud and honored to be the first signed act for their 2010 show."

RED STAR is a modified Aero L-29 Delfin, the first aircraft designed and built in Czechoslovakia.  The L-29 was used as a jet trainer by Warsaw Pact nations in the 1960s.

THE DRAGON is a BAC 167 Strikemaster light attack aircraft used primarily as a jet trainer.  Its lineage includes the Hunting Jet Provost trainer and the Percival Provost.

"Red Star & Dragon will be the pinnacle of a great and solid air show performer lineup at the 2010 Prairie Air Show" remarked Director Brett Krause. "We are looking forward to working with Andy and Jerry again, they have a very exciting act and we are sure the audience will be thrilled watching it."

The Prairie Air Show is scheduled for the weekend of July 24 and 25, 2010 at the Greater Peoria Regional Airport, Peoria, IL.
