Hawaiian Airlines Orders Trent 700 Engines

Will Power Carrier's New A330 Aircraft

Rolls-Royce has won an order from Hawaiian Airlines for Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines to power an additional Airbus A330 aircraft, supported by Rolls-Royce’s flagship engine service, TotalCare.

The airline already operates 23 Rolls-Royce powered A330 aircraft, and has previously placed an order for six A330neo aircraft, to be powered by the Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engine.

We are very pleased to have selected the Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engine to power our new Airbus A330," said Marc Kup, Senior Director Fleet Transactions, Hawaiian Airlines. "This has proved to be a winning combination for us, delivering impressive efficiency and durability.”

“Hawaiian Airlines is a valued customer that continues to develop its fleet for future growth," said Lewis Prebble, Rolls-Royce, Senior Vice President, Customers – Civil Aerospace.

Rolls-Royce says the Trent 700 delivers the best fuel burn, emissions and noise performance, resulting in market leadership on the aircraft, with more than 80 per cent of new orders over the last three years and accounts for the same percentage on future A330 deliveries. More than 1,800 Trent 700s are now in service or on firm order.

TotalCare is the premium Rolls-Royce engine service, where the business models of the aircraft owner and Rolls-Royce are fully aligned to improve engine reliability, increase time on wing, and maximize the engine service’s contribution to customer business performance.
