Honeywell Forge Renamed to “Flight Efficiency” with Cloud-Based Upgrade

Fuel Savings, Analytics, and Data Analysis Improve Cost Savings for Enrolled Customers

Honeywell has updated the “Honeywell Flight Efficiency” platform, a cloud-based fuel-use tool to aid flight planning and operations. 

The platform, now in use with more than 3,000 operators around the world, is aimed at reducing fuel waste, minimizing emissions, and defraying operating and maintenance costs. The cloud-based suite is easier to scale and faster to enhance for Honeywell, building on the older HoneyWell Forge Flight Efficiency product with networked software and up-to-date information. Flight Efficiency includes in-air and on-ground assistance for flight ops, fuel managers, and maintenance personnel, providing alerts and identifying savings opportunities without interrupting the workflow of company personnel.

Honeywell Flight Efficiency now offers customers an easy method to cut emissions while reducing operating costs en route, aiding in fuel efficiency-promoting decisions and helping to reduce direct fuel costs through proper procedure. Improved machine learning has enabled advanced flight trajectory analytics, detecting flight events and procedures like automated shortcut detection, holding detection, acceleration altitude reduction and continuous descent operations whenever they occur without requiring human input. Airlines can even collate large quantities of data from disparate sources simultaneously, allowing them to derive their own insights and measure performance throughout their fleet.
