Returning To The Event For The First Time Since 2015

Airbus will return to DSEI in September and exhibit in the newly created Space Hub, which will be located within DSEI’s Aerospace Zone. The Space Hub will feature the most innovative companies in both space and defense sectors, offering a dedicated platform for network and collaboration.

The Space Hub will be an incredible opportunity for the industry, the MOD as well as international delegations to discuss the next-generation capabilities critical issues and challenges.

The space sector has grown substantially over the past few years. In the U.K. it supports over 40,000 jobs across the country and the total income now stands at £14.8 billion ($19 billion). As reported by the U.K. government Defense and military have seen strong growth, increasing from 2% to 8% of income. "We’re returning to DSEI for the first time since 2015. The Space Hub will be the perfect showcase for our Skynet military satellite communications and Earth observation capabilities," said Colin Paynter, Managing Director, Airbus Defense and Space U.K. "We’re looking forward to demonstrating some of the sovereign technologies that sit at the heart of the U.K.’s world-leading space sector."

DSEI’s comprehensive conference program will also reflect this emphasis on space with a dedicated day in the Aerospace Seminar.

Other exhibitors who have already signed up for exhibit space in the Space Hub include satellite operator GovSat, RF and microwave technology company Arralis and Ka-band communications provider Avanti.

All the defense and security primes with strategic space capabilities, including BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon, will also be represented at DSEI 2019.
