Gulfstream Delivers Two G450 Aircraft To Flexjet

Part Of A 50-Airplane Purchase By The Fractional Company

Gulfstream has delivered two Gulfstream G450 aircraft to Dallas-based fractional provider Flexjet LLC in a delivery ceremony at Gulfstream’s Savannah headquarters.

The G450 deliveries are part of a 50-aircraft purchase Gulfstream and Flexjet announced in October 2014. The purchase also includes orders and options for the all-new Gulfstream G500 and the Gulfstream G650.

“It is fitting that the G450 is the first Gulfstream aircraft to be delivered to Flexjet for its Gulfstream fleet,” said Scott Neal, senior vice president, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Gulfstream. “The G450 is a hallmark of dependability, performance and cabin comfort and will provide Flexjet’s customers with an unmatched travel experience.”

With more than 320 aircraft in service, the G450 is one of the best-selling business jets in the industry. Powered by Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8C engines, the G450 can travel 4,350 nautical miles at Mach 0.80 and handles both domestic and international missions with ease.

The G450 can accommodate up to 16 passengers and has three living areas that can be customized to meet operators’ needs. The productive and restful cabin environment provides a low cabin altitude, 100 percent fresh air, quiet noise levels and 12 Gulfstream large oval windows, allowing for abundant natural lighting.

The flight deck features PlaneView TM avionics and an Enhanced Vision System II with optional Synthetic Vision-Primary Flight Display. The G450 also includes Gulfstream’s unique PlaneConnect monitoring system that automatically transmits aircraft maintenance information while the aircraft is in flight to improve troubleshooting and enable early dispatch of parts and technicians. This technology, along with proven systems, has enabled the G450 fleet to achieve an average NBAA Dispatch Reliability rate of 99.9 percent.

Flexjet LLC first entered the fractional jet ownership market in 1995 and celebrated its 20th anniversary in May 2015. Flexjet offers fractional jet ownership and leasing, and its fractional aircraft program is the first in the world to be recognized as achieving the Air Charter Safety Foundation’s Industry Audit Standard. Flexjet is also the first and only company to be honored with its 14th Federal Aviation Administration Diamond Award for Excellence.

The combination of product reliability and Gulfstream’s top-rated product support network uniquely qualifies the G450 to meet the demanding requirements of Flexjet’s fractional service environment.
