FreeFlight Systems Announces LPV-Capable 2301 NextGen FMS

Brings 2020 Compliance To Fixed- And Rotary-Wing Aircraft

NextGen avionics developer FreeFlight Systems announced today that the Company is now accepting orders for its 2301 NextGen GPS flight management system.

The FreeFlight Systems 2301 NextGen FMS GPS is a fully self contained flight management system designed to provide high performance instrument flight rules (IFR) navigation and GPS based landing capability for fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft. The 2301 is a complete form/fit and function replacement for the Company's successful legacy 2101 I/O approach plus.

"The 2301 emphasizes our commitment to supporting legacy aircraft by providing high-quality, affordable NextGen solutions to the marketplace," said Pete Ring, FreeFlight Systems' Director of Sales and Marketing.

The 2301 has been designed to support numerous current and planned nextgen applications. The built-in GPS engine is available externally as an ADS-B position source, and ADS-B control is built into the system. The system is also localizer performance with vertical guidance (LPV) capable; the integration of navigation and landing capability in a single box allows for seamless transition from enroute to terminal and approach modes.
