Passenger Dies En Route To Milwaukee

New York Resident Suffered An Apparent Heart Attack On AirTran Flight From Las Vegas

A passenger flying from Las Vegas to Milwaukee on an AirTran flight passed away due to an apparent heart attack during the flight, which caused the plane to divert to Denver International Airport.

AirTran 776 was diverted to Denver early Saturday morning and was met at a gate by an ambulance at about 0250. Fox News reports that a passenger had tried to administer CPR on the plane, and an automatic defibrillator had been used in an attempt to save the life of 64-year-old Stephen Enves of Elmhurst, N.Y.

Enves, who was traveling with his wife, was pronounced dead in Denver by the Denver Medical Examiner's office, which will perform an autopsy. The flight continued on to Milwaukee without further incident, leaving Denver at about 0630.
