UA-APG Partnership Adds Performance Package

Universal Avionics (UA), by dint of a newly-announced partnership with Aircraft Performance Group (APG), has introduced Performance Package capabilities for FlightPartner Connected Avionics. The new package fully-integrates with the Connected FMS’s extant workflows and relies on APG’s performance for take-off and engine-out calculations, obstacle analysis, landing factors, and more. APG’s engine allows for accurate weight-and-balance calculations—by which aircraft fuel-consumption may be reduced, aircraft ground-handling enhanced, and the overall efficiency of flight operations improved.

Founded in 1979 and headquartered on Idaho’s Pocatello Regional Airport (PIH),  Avcenter is a full-service FBO with foci in air charters, flight instruction, aircraft maintenance and rental, and fuel sales. In October 2023, Avcenter completed a new state-of-the-art, thirty-thousand-square-foot, heated hangar facility. Sufficiently capacious to accommodate aircraft as large as Gulfstream’s G700 and Bombardier’s Global 7500, the new hangar offers prospective occupants short- and long-term lease options.

Honeywell Aerospace, the ubiquitous North Carolina-headquartered maker of aero-engines, avionics, and bleeding-edge aeronautical technologies, has collaborated with Hyundai Motor Group subsidiary Supernal for purpose of developing a ground-control station supportive of pilotless Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations. AB Jets has acquired three Bombardier Challenger 3500 aircraft, with a contractual option to order a fourth such machine by the end of 2023.
