Two Critically Injured In Accident In Fond du Lac

Both Transported To Local Hospital

An airplane with two people on board went down short of Fond du Lac, WI airport Thursday morning, according to Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue.

Television Station WBAY reports that both people on board the airplane were airlifted to a local hospital from the accident scene. The two men have not been identified.

A Sheriff's Department statement indicated that the "plane banked abruply and crashed." No other details were given. Multiple local agencies responded to the accident.

The airport was closed while the rescue operations were conducted, but it was reopened later in the morning for normal operations.
