Australian Pair Face Security Charges

Two Men Accused Of Carrying Airport IDs When They Shouldn't Have

Two former contractors for the Australian flag carrier, Qantas, have been charged with illegally carrying Aviation Security Identification Cards at Sydney Airport Tuesday. Qantas found out and immediately reported the incident to Australian Federal Police.

"As a result, the two have been charged under federal aviation security law," Qantas security chief Geoff Askew told reporters. "Until these charges have been dealt with, it's not appropriate for me comment further."

The passes allow airline workers and their contractors access to airport ramps. Both men have now been ordered to court, where they'll have to appear November 15th.
