LG International Purchases S-76C++ Helicopter

Deal Announced At Asian Aerospace 2006

Sikorsky Aircraft announced last week LG International will purchase one S-76C++ helicopter, to be used for VIP transport. The two companies held a signing ceremony Friday at the Asian Aerospace 2006 trade show.

"The S-76C++ helicopter sets the standard for quiet, comfortable, and efficient corporate and VIP transport," said Steve Estill, Sikorsky’s vice president for worldwide sales. "We look forward to delivering this aircraft to LG as a repeat S-76 customer."

The C++ is the latest production configuration of the S-76-series aircraft. The C++ includes a series of engine, air vehicle, interior and avionics upgrades that will pave the way for a set of additional improvement, leading to the launch of the new S-76D model in 2008.

First announced one year ago at Heli-Expo 2005, the S-76C++ received its FAA certification early this year. More than 60 S-76C++ aircraft have been ordered to date. LG's S-76++ will be delivered to the South Korean company in 2007.
