Finally, Bodies Recovered In Wyoming Accident

More Than Two Weeks After Disaster


Recovery teams have finally brought back the bodies of three people killed last month when their Mooney slammed into one of the highest mountains in Wyoming. Rod Lashley, his wife and a friend are finally going home to Nebraska.

Lashley's M-20K crashed May 23rd near Gannett Peak in Wyoming's Wind River Mountains. But the weather was so bad in the area that search teams couldn't get to the crash site until this week.

All three bodies were located inside the wreckage. But for now, the destroyed aircraft will stay on the mountain. Until the weather improves further, officials say they won't attempt to move it.
