Collaboration Automates Infrastructure Inspection Missions
FlytBase, a drone autonomy software provider, announced a strategic partnership with AI-driven photogrammetry platform gNext on September 30. This aims to permit seamless AI-assisted drone data collection and transfers to gNext’s platform, limiting the need for human input.
Traditional management and inspection techniques for aging infrastructure are often slow, expensive, and can compromise safety. Identifying faults in extensive assets can be particularly challenging, leading to the introduction of more autonomous processes.
The new FlytBase gNext Flink integration allows operators to perform remote inspection missions. Data collected on FlytBase can be uploaded to the gNext cloud, where users can select from 40 asset presets. They can then identify and measure defects in structures with the AI-generated InspectAssist tool.
gNext’s platform offers features like PlanView, Elevation, 2D/3D modeling, and detailed reporting, allowing more accurate and effective evaluations and infrastructure management. FlytBase also provides the automation tools necessary for docked drone operations and incorporates flight safety and fleet management options, supporting reliable data collection while integrating with beyond-visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) technology. This contains built-in safety systems like parachutes and weather monitoring.
