Found: Dr. Jack Nolen

He'd Been Missing For More Than A Month

Authorities near Holdenville, OK, have found what they think are the remains of an Eastern Oklahoma doctor and his aircraft more than a month after Dr. Jack Nolen went missing.

As ANN reported, Nolen's Kitfox Lite2 disappeared January 14th on a flight from Paris, TX, to Shawnee, OK. The Oklahoma Wing of the Civil Air Patrol launched a massive search for Nolen. But, after more than two weeks, there was still no sign of the 72-year old semi-retired physician (right).

Now, the aircraft and remains thought to be Nolen's have been found in a thick stand of trees near Holdenville. Farmer Audie Sanford told reporters he was feeding his cattle when he came across the wreckage.

"It was in a grove of thick trees," he told reporters. "Looked like it hit almost dead-on. The motor and the undercarriage just circled a tree."

Authorities were working early Tuesday to positively identify the remains. There's no indication yet as to what caused Nolen's Kitfox to crash.
