Muskegon, Michigan to See Air Show Once Again

Wings Over Muskegon Nabs A-10 Demo Team for July Show

Wings Over Muskegon, has announced its lineup for next July's air show at Michigan's Muskegon County Airport.

The headlining act will be the U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team, with a supporting act provided by the Hooligans Flight Team.

The new air show announced their slate of performers for next July, which marks a return of sorts for aerial entertainment in the Muskegon region. The long-running Muskegon Air Fair closed up shop after 23 years in 2006. Wings Over Muskegon has begun building up its own brand as a more accessible, active air show experience from the more hands-off tradition of the old Air Fair. The show will feature 4 flyable aircraft rides from nearby partner, the Yankee Air Museum, as well as a series of ground displays and exhibits.

“We’re just getting warmed up,” said Brenda Kerfoot, communications coordinator at Yankee Air Museum. “It’s just the preliminary lineup, and we will continuously be adding more to that; things in the air, as well as on the ground. This is just to give people an idea that we’re working hard on this to produce an excellent show for Wings Over Muskegon.”
