Mexican Demo Tour A Success for Bell 505

Made Stops in 11 Mexican States

A Bell 505 helicopter configured for public safety or a “parapublic” deployment recently completed a successful demonstration tour of Mexico with Bell pilot Scott Mahon at the controls, supported by regional sales manager Jose Manuel Prats.

They displayed the aircraft to 20 potential customers in 11 Mexican states.

The aircraft has the  G1000H NXi integrated avionics suite, providing pilots rapid flight data monitoring while maintaining situational awareness. A spacious cabin with integral tiedowns, easily removable seats, and large doors optimize the aircraft for fast turnarounds when reconfiguration is needed.

The Bell 505 is well-known for reliability and excellent performance in its capacity as an important asset for public safety organizations. Numerous law enforcement agencies across the U.S. utilize the aircraft. For law enforcement applications it is configured with skid gear, forward and aft hard points for equipment mounting, and a Trakka Beam Searchlight. It also has large windows providing better visibility for pilots and tactical flight officers while engaged in searching for missing persons or suspects.

Bell’s managing director for Latin America, John Ramos said, "We are thrilled with the success of the Bell 505 demo tour and are eager to see the growth of the 505's use in Latin America."
