Frasca Simulators Installed At Metro State University

Two 172 Mentor AATDs Available For Training At Denver School

Frasca recently installed two Cessna 172 Mentor AATDs (Advanced Aviation Training Devices) at the Aviation and Aerospace Science Department at Metro State University (MSU) in Denver, Colorado. During the installation, Frasca engineers also upgraded host computers on ten of their existing simulators and installed projector upgrades to their Cessna Mustang Flight Training Device (FTD).

There are currently 22 Frasca simulators in use at MSU, including three Model 142 FTDs and their FAA Level 1 Mustang FTD. The Mustang FTD features Garmin G1000 avionics, Graphical Instructor Station (GISt), NIFA scoring module, TruVision visual system, TruSound and more.

The Frasca Mentor AATDs integrate flow through technology from Frasca's FFS and FTD manufacturing to provide incredible fidelity and transfer of training. Every feature offers a solid benefit for business and/or safety and is designed to train pilots to fly integrated avionics systems without investing in more advanced FTDs. While compact in size, the Mentor is a high quality simulator with an extensive features list and uses much of the same technology as Frasca’s higher level FTDs and FFSs. Frasca has delivered over 100 Mentor AATDs since its introduction in 2005.
