Canadian Air Medical Operator Leases Two AW109 Aircraft

Infinity Helicopter Leasing Completes The Deal With Airmedic

Infinity Helicopter Leasing ("IHL") has leased two new AgustaWestland AW109SP aircraft to Airmedic, a Canadian air medical operator headquartered in Brossard, Quebec. The AW109SP aircraft are configured as fully IFR and NVG compatible emergency medical service (EMS) aircraft.

As a new entrant into the helicopter leasing market, IHL is targeting end-user helicopter markets involving EMS, Law Enforcement, and Utility mission profiles. Infinity Helicopter Leasing is pleased to announce this transaction as it represents IHL's initial entry into the Canadian market, while adding to its already established presence in the helicopter EMS market.

Airmedic is the only company in Quebec dedicated exclusively to emergency air medical services. Since May 2012, Airmedic has carried out more than 875 missions. Airmedic continues to invest in top of the line new equipment as part of its commitment to life saving effectiveness. "Our new Agusta helicopters with night vision and instrument equipment will give our medical staff additional day or night capability, therefore providing greater levels of service," stated Airmedic 's President and CEO Christian Trudeau.

Air medical operators worldwide recognize the importance of speed, range, and, most importantly, safety and are expected to continue replacing older helicopters with newer, more technically advanced models, e.g., an all glass digital SPIFR instrumentation and NVG compatibility such as the AgustaWestland A109SP offers.

IHL's Managing Director Joe Hawke stated: "We are very committed to the EMS mission and we have tremendous regard for Airmedic and its parent organization Capitale Helicoptère. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Airmedic in support of its operating lease requirements."
