Enstrom Gets FAA Approval For Pop-Out Floats On 480B

Easy On, Easy Off

Enstrom Helicopter Corporation has earned FAA approval for pop-out floats on its 480B turbine.

"These floats add one more option to our broad range of uses for the 480B," said William Taylor, director of engineering. "They will add versatility to operations by increasing safety in over-water flights."

The pop-out floats are offered as an option for the 480B. They are installed for emergency use only and have little effect on performance. With minimal effort, the floats can be installed on or removed from any Enstrom 480B.
