Hybrid Air Vehicles Launches 'Rethink The Skies'

Announces New Chairman For The Company

Hybrid Air Vehicles Limited is entering a new chapter, with the announcement of a new Chairman and launch of its "Rethink the Skies" campaign.

Hybrid Air Vehicles says it has long been an organization challenging the status quo. As the company moves forward with the production Airlander, it believes it is now providing entirely new solutions to its customers’ needs. This year at Farnborough, we are encouraging customers to “Rethink the Skies” and make our long-time philosophy part of their operations.

HAV CEO Stephen McGlennan is looking ahead towards the future that opens for both HAV and our customers when we Rethink the Skies. "Rethink the Skies is a message that is just as applicable to defence and security as it is to adventure tourism. All around us, we see new challenges to provide services into remote places, provide airborne connectivity, and reduce our industry’s environmental impact," McGlennan said. "The aerospace industry can’t solve these new challenges with variations on the same answers. With Airlander there is a way to do things differently – and better.”

HAV is also pleased to announce the appointment of a new Chairman. Kevin Taylor has been involved in the aerospace community at an executive level for more than 30 years, including as the Group Strategy Director at BAE Systems plc. “I am very excited by the opportunity Hybrid Air Vehicles has to help our customers to rethink the skies,” Taylor said, “and open a new chapter in aviation history as Airlander becomes a production aircraft in service worldwide.”
