Genesys to Release New Digital Radio Control Panel

New Radio Control Suite Boasts Greater LCD Area, Cross-Brand Compatibility

Genesys Aerosystems has released the Genesys Control Panel (GCP), another product in their line of avionics controls, a single unite Nav/Comm kit meant for use alongside the firm's Digital Radio (GDR) line.

The GCP is designed to provide users additional interface and control options for those builds equipped with their digital radio system, but without a full Genesys Avionics Suite. The controller provides access to VHF Comm, VHF Nav, UHF Comm frequencies, with additional 3rd party compatibility with other brands, though it is designed to synergize with the brand's remote-mount, software-definable radio. Genesys expects certification to be completed in October 2022, with the panel to be fully available from the opening of 2023. Preorders may be submitted through Genesys dealers, which, given recent developments in the supply chain, might be a wise move in order to obtain as soon as possible.

“The GCP was designed to offer customers as many options as possible when installing our  digital radios as a retrofit solution” states Jamie Luster, Director of Sales and Marketing for  Genesys Aerosystems. “The radios are already being used by several OEMs with our EFIS  displays and there is a huge customer base that needs radio upgrades with a stand-alone  display option.”
