Meet Polly Vacher at Sennheiser

Meet 'Round-the-World Pilot Polly Vacher At Sennheiser Booth Sunday

Meet Wings Around the World pilot, Polly Vacher, at the Sennheiser booth at Oshkosh on the afternoon of Sunday, August 3. Wings Around the World II is Polly Vacher's second around-the-world-flight in her single-engine Piper to raise money for Flying Scholarships for the Disabled.

The scholarship program seeks to empower the disabled through the challenge and thrill of learning to fly. Scholarships provide six weeks training of ground school and up to 40 hours dual and solo flying.

The charitable flight would not be possible without the assistance of financial sponsors.

Sennheiser, a proud sponsor of the flight, contributed financially and with the donation of two HMEC 25KA active noise reduction headsets. The compact, lightweight design and active noise reduction make the HMEC 25KA ideal for the extended hours of flight that will be undertaken in this 8-month journey.

Polly left the UK on May 6 and has traveled via northern Europe and Canada to the US, where she is scheduled to travel throughout the summer. She expects to fly 35,000 miles, log about 90 takeoffs and landings, visit 30 countries and cross over both poles within eight months.

A complete route is available on her web site.
