NATA Welcomes Robust FAA Leadership

Rocheleau Good Choice At Critical Time For Industry

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) released the statement below concerning President Donld Trump’s appointment of Chris Rocheleau as Acting Administrator of the FAA.

The statement by Curt Castagna, President and CEO of NATA:

"NATA appreciates Chris Rocheleau’s return to public service at the FAA during this critical time for the U.S. aviation industry, and we thank President Trump for appointing a steady leader to guide the Agency's response to yesterday's tragic events. NATA and our members stand in solidarity with the victims' families, the first responders, the commercial airline and military aviation communities, as well as the FAA and NTSB investigators during this time of tragedy.

“The NATA team has worked alongside Chris in his role as Chief Operating Officer at the National Business Aviation Association on many issues important to the business and general aviation communities. Chris is a catalyst for change and a champion for preserving the safety and effectiveness of the NAS.

“He truly understands our industry's value, our aviation system’s challenges, and opportunities for increased Agency/industry collaboration to identify solutions. We are thrilled to continue our close partnership with Chris in his service as Acting FAA Administrator."

NATA has been the voice of aviation businesses since 1940, representing nearly 3,700 businesses directly or indirectly involved in the aviation industry. Its member companies provide a wide range of services to general aviation, the airlines, and the military, and serves as the public policy group acting in the interests of aviation businesses in Congress and federal agencies.
