Trig Receives FAA AML For TT31 Installation In 650 Aircraft Types

ADS-B Transponder Makes Aircraft Compliant For 2020 Deadline

The FAA has released an Approved Model List (AML) allowing the installation of Trig's TT31 ADS-B transponder in more than 650 types of aircraft, covering just about anything a fixed-wing GA pilot might fly.

Trig says its TT31 transponder is a highly cost effective ADS-B solution, because it can be used with popular GNS 400W and 500W navigators. Installing Trig as the hub of your ADS-B Out solution with the Trig STC is both simple and affordable.

The benefits of the TT31 have been recognized by Heritage Aviation – a respected avionics and maintenance shop in South Burlington, Vermont. Tom MacArthur is the Avionics Manager in this established Part 145 facility. “We’ve carried out recent TT31 ADS-B compliant installs using Trig’s STC," MacArthur said. "I found Peregrine (Trig’s STC Partner) extremely helpful, they sent the STC kit straight across to me. I’d not fitted a TT31 before, but I found it very impressive – it has a high quality bezel and bright display. The install was simple, in conjunction with a Garmin 430W. I’ve kept in contact with the customer having installed the TT31, he’s delighted, as he’s reporting way more traffic than was previously visible on his GDL-39! The Trig unit also meant I could hook up TIS-A traffic, which is now displayed on his 430W.”

Trig says the TT31 is the ideal retro-fit for the popular KT76A and KT78A, minimizing installation time and expense. Tom MacArthur is delighted to discover that Trig provides such a practical ADS-B Out solution. He said, “There’s a whole lot of airplanes equipped with KT76A and KT78A transponders and many of these have 430W units too - the TT31 makes the most sense for these guys.”
