Aero-News Quote Of The Day (09.20.03)

Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be thought-provoking.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day.

Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

"The things that are going to be hardest, I think, are the things where you have to change peoples' attitude and their ways of working. When someone has done something a certain way for a long time, it's very difficult to change the way you think, the way you approach a problem and so on."

Source: Ed Lu, Science Officer, aboard the International Space Station. Speaking in an orbit-ground interview with reporters at the Johnson Space Center in Houston (TX), Thursday, Lu said the same cultural problems that plague NASA's space shuttle program are evident in the ISS program as well.
