FSI Expands In AZ With 100,000 SF Learning Center

Broader Growth Strategy Continues In Aviation Training

Flight Safety International, a leading provider in aviation training, announced the construction of a new 100,000 sf  Learning Center in Mesa, Arizona, as a part of its growth strategy that adds to its long presence in the state with its Tucson Learning Center.

The new facility is designed to address the rising demand for aviation training and represents FSI’s commitment to advancing aviation preparedness and safety.

Groundbreaking on the new facility is scheduled for October and its anticipated opening is early 2028.

Barbara Telek, President of FlightSafety International said, “This expansion is a reflection of FlightSafety’s continued growth and long-term investment in the future of aviation training and safety. As global demand rises, we’re scaling our operations to support our customers and advance the highest standards of safety and preparedness.”

“The new Mesa Learning Center strengthens our ability to deliver world-class training while supporting the aviation workforce in Arizona and across the industry,” she added.

The new Learning Center will feature full-flight simulators and advanced training devices for use in training pilots, maintenance technicians, and cabin crew. It is designed to be scalable over time as demand fluctuates.

The facility is expected to enhance the region’s economic benefits with an estimated 100 new jobs as operations ramp up. In addition, the availability of training in the area will draw thousands of aviation professionals to the area each year. This will bring measurable business activity and tourism to local hotels, restaurants, and service providers.

Regina Antone, Lt. Governor of the Gila River Indian Community and Board Chair of Mesa Gateway Airport Authority noted, “FlightSafety’s decision to expand in Mesa is a major win for our region. This project will bring meaningful economic impact and reinforce Mesa’s leadership position in the global aviation landscape.”

Mark Freeman, Mayor of Mesa said, "Mesa is proud to welcome FlightSafety to our community. This facility will not only serve aviation professionals from around the globe, but it will also showcase Mesa as a city where innovation, training excellence, and economic growth go hand in hand."

Arizona’s prominence in aviation has grown in recent years through a robust presence of manufacturing, engineering, and service providers around the state. It also supports a growing number of aerospace innovators and operations that provide a foundation for this expansion by FSI.
