Eve Air Partners With AirX for 50 Advanced Electric eVTOL Aircraft

Eve Air Mobility Teams With AirX For 50 eVTOLs

Eve Air Mobility has recently announced a promising collaboration with AirX Inc., Japan's premier public helicopter charter service, by signing a letter of intent to provide up to 50 of its advanced electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This partnership is set to drive the next generation of urban air mobility (UAM) in Japan, offering an innovative solution to the congested urban environments in the Asia-Pacific region.

Under the terms of the agreement, AirX has committed to acquire up to 10 firm eVTOLs with an option for an additional 40 units. The agreement also encompasses service support and urban air traffic management software, provided by Eve through its proprietary platform, Vector. Johann Bordais, CEO of Eve, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing Japan's progressive stance on integrating eVTOL technology into their transportation infrastructure.

Kiwamu Tezuka, CEO of AirX, highlighted the importance of this partnership in revolutionizing transport services, making them more accessible and efficient. He praised Eve's technological prowess and commitment to fostering a sustainable transportation ecosystem. As a leader in Japan's UAM development, AirX continues to innovate by launching the Greater Tokyo Area's first eVTOL test field, the UAM Centre, which promises to transform air travel within the region.

Eve's strategy extends beyond Japan, with ongoing collaborations in Australia, India, and South Korea, aiming to develop comprehensive UAM ecosystems tailored to local needs. Their eVTOL design features a unique lift+cruise configuration, which offers significant operational efficiencies and safety through propulsion redundancy.

Looking forward, Eve plans to scale up production with a new facility in São Paulo, Brazil, gearing up for a major test campaign of its eVTOL prototype. With nearly 3,000 aircraft already under letters of intent and services set to commence in 2026, Eve Air Mobility is at the forefront of shaping the future of urban air transport globally, providing a scalable and sustainable solution to urban congestion.
