Rotax Aircraft Names New Partners For Scandinavia And The Baltic States

Sales Territory Divided Between Two Established Partners

A successful 35-year partnership between BRP-Rotax and Lycon Engineering AB ended January 31, and the sales territory for 2- and 4-stroke aircraft engines has been divided between two other longtime partners.

In the last 35 years BRP-Rotax and Lycon Engineering AB have launched more than 15 new engine models in the scandinavian and baltic market and supported their customers with spare parts as well, service and maintenance of the engines. Now, Yard Johansson, CEO of Lycon Engineering AB, has decided to begin his well-earned retirement, and the distribution area consisting of Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania will be divided between two well-established distribution partners of BRP-Rotax.

Franz Aircraft Vertriebs GmbH, a distributor for BRP-Rotax since 1986, is an authorized maintenance operator in accordance with EASA-Part-145 (DE.145.0318). It is a BRP-Rotax authorized organization for the overhaul of certified Rotax 4-stroke-aircraft engines, as well as UL Rotax 2- and 4-stroke aircraft engines. Franz Aircraft is taking over the scandinavian area with Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

Since 1999, Faston SP. z.o.o. sp.k. has served the market in Poland with spare parts and services. Faston is also an authorized maintenance operator in accordance with EASA-Part-145 (DE.145.0318) and a BRP-Rotax authorized organization for overhaul of certified Rotax 4-stroke-aircraft engines, as well as UL Rotax 2- and 4-stroke aircraft engines. Faston will take over the area of the Baltic countries like Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

"We would like to thank Lycon for the long term and successful cooperation and are very happy to have two high qualified partners with longterm know-how in the field of Rotax Aircraft engines as well as service and maintenance," said Peter Oelsinger, General Manager BRP-Rotax / Member of the Management Board, vice president Sales, Marketing RPS-Business & Communications. "Franz Aircraft and Faston are very reliable and innovative companies and they will deliver the best support for the customers in the Scandinavian and Baltic countries.”
