Will Be Configured As C172s

Aero-News learned Thursday the Qingdao Jiutian Spartan Flight Academy in Liuting, Qingdao, China (PRC) has placed an order with Frasca International for two Frasca Flight Training Devices (FTDs).

Representatives with Frasca tell ANN the simulators will be configured as Cessna 172s. One unit will be equipped with Garmin G1000 advanced avionics, while the second unit will have conventional instrumentation. Both simulators will feature Frasca’s TruVision 170 visual display system and Graphical Instructor Station (GISt) and will be qualified as CAAC and FAA Level 5 Flight Training Devices.

"We are very pleased to be receiving the two Flight Training Devices (FTDs) from Frasca International, Inc," said Mr. Fang Yi, President of Qingdao Juitian Spartan Flight Academy (QJFSA). "The Frasca FTDs will play a major role in complementing QJFSA's prestigious flight training academy program. Frasca's ability to supply the sophisticated FTDs in a very short delivery will enhance QJFSA's flight training curriculum for January 2007 semester."

Mr. Fang also noted the cooperation between QJFSA and Frasca's Commercial Products Distributor for China (Lantech Engineering, Ltd.), "is an added value and convenience for local post-sales support."

"Frasca is very pleased to have been awarded this contract," said John Frasca, Vice President of Frasca International, Inc. "We are looking forward to working with QJFSA and expect to provide many more quality flight simulators to the Chinese market."
