Project Pilot Signs Up 225 New Recruits At AOPA Expo

Program Gets A Strong Bump

Aero-News has learned more than 225 people signed up as Mentors and prospective pilot recruits for the AOPA Project Pilot program at AOPA Expo.

Anthony Mazzarella, of Santa Monica, CA was one of 100 Mentors who enrolled students from the Project Pilot booth outside the Palm Springs Convention Center. "Project Pilot makes tremendous sense," he commented. He signed up his 16-year-old son Michael after reading AOPA Project Pilot success stories in AOPA Pilot.

Mazzarella is no stranger to mentoring. Five years ago, he guided his father through flight training. This time around, he'll have the added resources of the tools available on the AOPA Project Pilot Web site that he can use to mentor his son.

Those who would like to find out more about the AOPA Project Pilot program -- or sign up as a Mentor -- can visit the web site at the FMI link below.
