EUROPEAN ROTORS 2020 Marks Start Of New Rotorcraft Show

EASA Partners With The European Helicopter Association To Present The Event

In an international news conference held at Koelnmesse, in Cologne (Germany) on Tuesday 21 January, EASA announced the official launch of a new annual event, which will take place for the first time from November 10-12, 2020: “EUROPEAN ROTORS”. Thanks to EASA’s new partnership with the European Helicopter Association (EHA), we strive to provide an extraordinary showcase that will encompass all the European Rotorcraft Community.

In alignment with EASA’s strategic objectives, our aim is to increase visibility for the community and industry alike, by having one large European event instead of several smaller events. This will reduce travel needs, create synergies and attract a wider community. There will not be any other equivalent event in Europe.

Airbus Helicopters, Leonardo Helicopters, Bell, Robinson, Safran and P&WC have committed to support the show and attract their suppliers.

The new event will encompass the EASA Rotorcraft and VTOL symposium, other EU shows related to HEMS, Hoist and more research orientated gatherings and aim to have the complete rotary wing community in one place.

The event will primarily involve the rotorcraft industry (OEMs) and the industries that serve it. It will provide a comprehensive programme including static display of helicopters and other associated products, conferences/workshops, as well as training sessions. VTOL will also be included in the show with a special focus on new eVTOL, Urban Air Mobility as well as the drones’ community supporting helicopter-type operations.
