Board Elections Take Place At NBAA Annual Meeting

Paul Anderson Of UTFlight Will Serve As Chairman Through 2019

The voting members of the NBAA re-elected four directors for three-year terms expiring in 2019 during its annual meeting held today at the Orange County Convention Center during NBAA’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).

Paul Anderson is the vice president of UTFlight, the corporate flight department for United Technologies Corporation, and currently serves as the chairman of the NBAA Board of Directors. Previously, he held several positions in a customer service role with UTC company Sikorsky Aircraft. Anderson graduated from West Point in 1981, and served for five years in the U.S. Army as a helicopter maintenance officer and pilot and received a MBA from the University of New Haven. He holds a private pilot’s license for fixed-wing aircraft, a helicopter ATP, and is a master army aviator, including ratings in several military and civilian helicopters. Anderson joined the NBAA Board of Directors in 2007.

David Everitt, retired Deere & Company Ag Division president, serves on a number of public company and private foundation boards of directors. He currently serves as non-executive chairman of the board of Harsco Corporation, an industrial services company, and chairman of the compensation committee of the Agrium board of directors, an agricultural nutrients producer and distributor. In addition, Everitt serves on the boards of Brunswick, a consumer and recreational products company, and Allison, a producer of industrial transmissions for trucks and off-highway vehicles. He also serves on the board of the Kansas State University Foundation. During his career at Deere, Everitt served in multiple international assignments with engineering and marketing responsibilities, culminating with a 10-year tenure as president of the company’s largest division. A native of Concordia, KS, Everitt graduated from Kansas State University in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. Everitt joined the NBAA Board of Directors in 2012, and currently serves as chairman of the Audit Committee.

Richard Walsh is currently vice president of global aviation and travel security services for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he is responsible for the operational and strategic oversight of executive flight operations and travel security initiatives. Prior to joining Hewlett-Packard, Walsh worked as vice president of aviation and business continuity for Cardinal Health. Before that he worked for 20 years for United Airlines in multiple training and flight operations leadership roles. He is past chairman of the NBAA Safety Committee, and currently serves on the Southern Illinois University Aviation Management Advisory Board. He has accumulated more than 17,000 hours of diverse flight experience, and is type rated on seven different turbo-jet aircraft. Walsh joined the NBAA Board of Directors in 2013 and currently serves on the Nominating Committee.

Dan Williams is the vice president of aviation and global travel for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. He joined the flight department of Walmart in 2000 as a first officer. He rose through the ranks, and has been in his current role since 2007. Before joining Walmart, Williams was a professional pilot for business flight departments and airlines. He has been a pilot for 29 years, and has an airline transport pilot rating with more than 8,000 accident-free, incident-free flight hours. An Arkansas native, Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Florida State University. Williams joined the NBAA Board of Directors earlier this year, and currently serves on the Nominating Committee.
