Can't Simulate This... I/ITSEC 2020 FL Is Cancelled

The World's Largest Modeling, Simulation, And Training Gathering

What a shame.... one of the most fascinating events we attend each year is the annual I/ITSEC convention every Fall. But this year... not a chance.

Following directives to avoid mass gatherings for public safety amid the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA) has made the decision to cancel the 2020 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC).

The persistent spread of the COVID-19 virus and efforts to stop it have led NTSA to decide not to hold this year’s event, the world's largest modeling, simulation, and training gathering that draws thousands of people worldwide to Orlando, Florida, every year.

“The safety and wellness of attendees, volunteers, and participants are our utmost priority,” said RADM James Robb, NTSA’s president. “We look forward to this important annual gathering and the people and businesses that support training and simulation, surrounded by the warm welcome of Orlando. We cancel this year’s I/ITSEC with a heavy heart and are working on ways the technical content prepared for the conference can be provided to the training community.”

I/ITSEC was scheduled for 30 November – 4 December at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The Army was this year’s military lead Service. F

NTSA and its parent, the National Defense Industrial Association, thank everyone for their interest in this year’s event. “We wish you good health and safety during this uncertain time so we may see you at the 2021 I/ITSEC,” Robb said. Please stay abreast of COVID-19 developments and directions from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, the Defense Department, and your particular state and local governments.

The FAQ page about the I/ITSEC cancellation is now online and will be updated regularly.
