Scheme Designers Develops New Online Paint Visualization Tool

What would your Piper Tomahawk look like in red? How about blue with a gold stripe? If a company called Scheme Designers has its way, you won't have to guess any more. Nor will you have to spend a fortune before you find out that you really wanted a strawberry-colored stripe instead of magenta.

Here at AirVenture 2004, Scheme Designers is debuting a new way to visualize the way you want your aircraft to look -- online. You simply pay a fee to get web site access and search among more than 3,000 paint schemes for literally hundreds of aircraft.

"The development of AircraftColor.com provides our clients with a new tool in their search for an ideal paint scheme," said scheme Designers CEO Craig Barnett. "AircraftColor.com makes our designs available to a broader market of aircraft owners and operators by providing pre-designed schemes at a low flat fee of $39.99 for a one-month subscritption." that way, you can download and even print out as many designs as you want to try on your own type of aircraft.

But finding an off-the-rack paint scheme doesn't mean you can't customize. Scheme Designers still offers complete sets of drawings and specifications for use in the paint shop. "Contract clients will receive a free computer work station and a printer for their office for a monthly fee," said Service manager Claudia Wells. "This will provide a professional approach to assisting their clients in the selection of their next paint scheme design."
