“We have flown more than 120 flight test hours toward the certification of the Pro Line 21 avionics and Williams International FJ44-3AP engine installations on the 400A/XP airframe,” said James Miller, President of Nextant Aerospace, in a news release Tuesday. "We continue to be impressed with the performance of the 400XT. The aircraft is exceeding our expectation in all key performance and handling aspects. The flight test article is undergoing final configuration changes and FAA conformity in our Cleveland facilities in preparation for the return to the Mojave Flight Test Center and the start of the FAA Certification Flight Tests in early December. We remain on target for 400XT Certification during the first quarter of 2011"

The company says the Nextant Aerospace 400XT significantly improves the Hawker Beechjet 400A/XP by extending its range more than 50% to over 2,000 nm while reducing operating costs by 30%.
