No Longer Just Associated With Large Aircraft, Beringer Scales Down Important Tech For GA

We were kinda blown away by some of the cool stuff we saw at Lakeland this year... and then we got to Beringer Aero and saw something we haven’t seen before... for GA. Beringer Aero’s new SensAIR system connects to a mobile app on your smartphone that reads pressure and temperature sensors on your BERINGER rim. The SensAIR system communicates data to the wireless app with a single code per wheel so there is no mistaking which tire is sending the info.

Thereafter; sensors are normally switched off to save the battery (2 to 3 years lifetime) and only activated when the smartphone is detected within a 3 ft radius. Specific low pressure and temperature levels are set by the user on his smartphone so he or she can receive a notification of an out of limits condition. This is a godsend to those of us with bad knees who struggle to get under their aircraft to check tire pressures...
