PA Community College And ACES Aviation Take Airplanes Where People Are

Will Display A DA-40 At A Shopping Mall

Pennsylvania's Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) and ACES Aviation (Aviation Certification and Education Solutions, Inc.), one of three flight providers for the school's nationally recognized aviation sciences program, will display a DA40-180 Diamond Star airplane at the Beaver Valley Mall next week.

ACES Aviation and CCBC have teamed up to offer and promote flight and ground instruction to students to fulfill their academic curriculums. As a result of this partnership, students have not only met, but have exceeded their training goals. The ACES Aviation and CCBC Staff have fostered a student population that has a tradition of now completing their first solo and obtaining their license in record time, thus reducing their costs and getting graduates out into the workforce quickly.

ACES Aviation is the only Western Pennsylvania flight training provider with a DA40-180 Diamond Star.  The DA40 is equipped with a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit, which improves situational awareness with a moving map depicting terrain as well as added features like weather and traffic increase safety.  As the aviation industry advances, nearly every commercial aircraft is moving to glass cockpits, and the DA40 gives CCBC students real-world experience with the technology.

The airplane will likely turn heads located at Center Court in the mall. Representatives from ACES Aviation and the College will be on-hand to provide information on CCBC's areas of study in aviation and to give shoppers and up-close and personal look at the types of aircraft students fly on a daily basis.
