Viking Assigns Sub-Saharan Sales Rep For Twin Otter Series 400

Thor Aviation to Become Regional Twin Otter Series 400 Representative

Viking Air Limited of Victoria, British Columbia, has assigned Thor Aviation of Mauritius to become the regional sales representative for the Viking Twin Otter Series 400 in Sub-Saharan Africa, including South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia, Angola, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, and the island nations of Madagascar, Comoros, and Mauritius.

Under the leadership of Trevor Conlyn, Managing Director, Thor Aviation was selected to represent the Series 400 Twin Otter in Sub-Saharan Africa due to Conlyn’s previous experience as a commercial pilot operating twin engine turbo-props and extensive history with corporate aircraft sales and management in the southern African region.

“Sub-Saharan Africa shows vast market potential for the Series 400 Twin Otter due to its ability to reliably perform in rugged and remote locations with minimal maintenance requirements,” said Peter Walker, Viking Regional Sales Director for Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific. “With so many countries starting to become familiar with the Viking Twin Otter, having Thor Aviation join our expanding sales network to providing regional expertise will not only help Viking’s market reach, but will also help bring the aircraft to the operators who will benefit the most from the aircraft’s STOL capabilities.”
